So, what have you been doing while I was out?

Contrary to what you may think, I have been busy!  Just because I haven’t blogged doesn’t mean I haven’t meant to!  Christmas came and went, the New Year was born, some birthdays popped up.  Life and death – it goes on.  Precious thing, life.  Ain’t it grand!  Now I’m up and rolling again and getting ready for spring gardening, Easter, Baptisms, First Communions, Confirmations.  And I am deliciously anticipating the day my darling husband joins the Catholic Church.  It won’t be long now.  He has inspired me in so many ways.  Who knew?

So here is a little pictorial of what I have been up to this last six weeks:

My hands have been busy too!

And then there was Bessie.    In her honor I created the following:

The Tree of Life

It certainly isn’t an original theme, but I can tell you that each piece is one of a kind.   I had a blast doing these!  The above pendant is crafted using silver-plated wire, gold-plated wire, adventurine stone, and Swarovoski crystals and has a diameter of 2 inches.

copper wire  1 inch dia.        And garnet with sterling ear wires.  I regret that I didn’t get a photo of the matching pendant I made for one of Bessie’s granddaughters.

I do know a certain someone who will be coming south in the spring.  Perhaps she will get a set for an early birthday present!

So, what’s next?  Take a look at what I am currantly working on:

                                                                     ICE   ICE   BABY!

  1. My sympathies on the loss of your dear Bessie. I love your Tree of Life renditions, and your new rosaries are beautiful. A friend was riding in my car today and she commented on my car rosary. When I showed her that it was a bracelet just for the car, she said she had never seen one before. The colors coordinate so well with the interior of my car, I just love looking at it.
